Effect of Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction Parameters on Total Polyphenols and Its Antioxidant Activity from Mango Residues (Mangifera indica L. var. Manililla)

چکیده

Manililla is a mango variety whose residues contain bioactive compounds such as polyphenols and flavonoids, with high added value. The use of environmentally friendly extraction technology would be great relevance; hence, this study aimed to evaluate the effect solvent relation, sonication time amplitude on ultrasound-assisted total in (peel, endocarp kernel) antioxidant activity. An experimental design 23 central point was used curvature behavior process variables. Conventional maceration control. better conditions were obtained at using 50% ethanol water, 60% 20 min time. We values up 1814 mg GAE/100 g, 469 g 672 1228 QE/100 653 880 flavonoids for peel, kernel, respectively. Mangiferin quantified 150 mg/g peel 0.025 but it not detectable maceration. capacity 87%, 14% 83% inhibition respectively, obtained. Peel kernel higher potential material, while not.

Ultrasound-assisted extraction of Mangiferin from Mango (Mangifera indica L.) leaves using response surface methodology.

Mangiferin is a xanthone widely distributed in higher plants showing antioxidative, antiviral, anticancer, antidiabetic, immunomodulatory, hepatoprotective and analgesic effects. In the present study, an ultrasonic-assisted extraction method was developed for the effective extraction of mangiferin from mango leaves. Some parameters such as ethanol concentration, liquid-to-solid ratio, extractio...

Microwave Assisted Extraction of Mangiferin from Mangifera Indica L

The aim of this work is to compare the extraction efficiencies of microwave and conventional isolation of mangiferin from Mangifera indica L. The parameters studied, which might affect the extraction efficiency were extraction time, solvent composition and microwave power. The conventional heating 21 h provided 5.23 % yield of mangiferin and by microwave heating at 210 W for 56 min, the yield w...

Polyphenols with antiulcerogenic action from aqueous decoction of mango leaves (Mangifera indica L.).

This study was designed to determine the gastroprotective effect of a Mangifera indica leaf decoction (AD), on different experimental models in rodents. The administration of AD up to a dose of 5 g/kg (p.o.) did not produce any signs or symptoms of toxicity in the treated animals, while significantly decreasing the severity of gastric damage induced by several gastroprotective models. Oral pre-...

Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Capacity of Phenolic Compounds of Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Seed depending upon the Extraction Process

The extraction method is critical for the recovery of phenolic compounds. The main goal was to evaluate the effect of an extraction process from mango seed on their phenolic profile, antioxidant and antimicrobial capacities. Phenolic extraction was performed in different steps: maceration, alkaline hydrolysis, acid/alkaline hydrolysis, polar and non-polar fraction of an ethyl acetate separation...

Volatile components from mango (Mangifera indica L.) cultivars.

The volatile components of 20 mango cultivars were investigated by means of simultaneous distillation-extraction, GC, and GC-MS. Three hundred and seventy-two compounds were identified, of which 180 were found for the first time in mango fruit. The total concentration of volatiles was approximately 18-123 mg/kg of fresh fruit. Terpene hydrocarbons were the major volatiles of all cultivars, the ...
